LEED Professional Credentials
Why hire someone with a LEED Professional Credential? Because a LEED Professional Credential provides employers, policymakers, and other stakeholders with assurances of an individual's level of competence and is the mark of the most qualified, educated, and influential green building professionals in the marketplace.
Search the chapter's directory for a list of professionals with a LEED Professional Credential in Nevada.
Starting with LEED v3, the Green Building Certification Institute is the third-party certification provider that assures that projects meet the highest performance measures.

K-12 Education
Across the United States, school districts large and small are realizing the benefits of green schools. Students, parents, teachers and community members are making the difference, by letting elected officials know they want their schools built, operated, and maintained green. USGBC has a special site that focuses on Green School Buildings and it is a great resource for creating change in your community. For example, check out this list of Teaching Tools and Sustainable Curriculum.
Nobody speaks more eloquently about the benefits and need of green schools than the students themselves:
"It's really about thinking. Common sense, logic and consideration."
"Our generation is the one that's going to have to deal with the consequences of all
those before us. We're going to have to fix the problems that [have been] created."
Human Resources and Business Managers
Adrienne Fox, HR Magazine, June, 2008 "HR executives have a lot to do with "greening" businesses and employees. The strategies are not just operational. Many involve educating employees, engaging them in ideas and innovation, and translating environmentalism into employment brands that attract and retain talent." (read more)
