  • Has a position statement all organizations (AIA, AGC, Engineers & Unions) can sign.
    
  • Continues to monitor, lobby and work with the PUC and Clark County hearings.
    
  • Reworks the model language, adjusts and updates as required.
    
  • Adopts and implements a new building code by the end of the legislative session 2013.
    
  • Supports a legislative forum among various advocacy groups with shared interests to develop legislation for the 2013 session.

  Course Description:

  This course will cover material from the purchasing cleaning materials and chemicals, to the actual day to day process of usage.  This includes, but is not limited to, entry matting maintenance, bathroom maintenance, the vacuuming and floor care process as well as the dusting process.  Also included, the day to day cleaning process as well as monthly and yearly needs of a building.  In addition to the actual working systems, maintenance of equipment and cleaning materials will be addressed.  Comparisons of traditional materials versus green materials will be explored.
  
  

  Objectives:

  1. Understand how to convert an existing building to a Green Cleaning program.
  
  2.  Explain the inspection and verification  procedures to ensure the  process is being followed.
  
  3.  Learn about the required knowledge and documentaton required to ensure that all aspects of training are being followed.
  
  4.  Identify the key components of reporting on maintenance programs and efficiencies, demonstrating that costs have been reduced through Green Cleaning.
